headlight problem
i got a 99 powerstroke and when i go to turn on my headlights all i get is my marker lights. but when i flip to my high beams they turn on like normal. then after im drivin for a while then my low beams will randomly just turn on. im thinkin it might be my headlight switch but would like some input before i go buy one.

I just had this exact problem...if all of your lights except the low beams work just fine, the problem is likely to be the Multifunction Switch (Turn Signal Switch). You can either replace it (80-175 bucks new), or attempt to clean the the old one. Word of warning, when you take the old one apart, putting it back together properly is a pain and you can wind up making it so your turn signals don't work, or your hazards flash constantly. I opted to replace it with a new switch (after replacing the headlight switch to no effect). 10-15 minutes and the new switch was installed and problem solved.

i tried that and no luck. my guess is that there is a loose wire comin out of the fuse box under the hood. one of these days ill have someone look at it cuz i wont dig into that part.
