AC Clutch will not engage
'00 F350 crewcab; I was attempting to find/hookup trailer brake wiring harness under dash. Evidently previous owner used the wires for something else but that's not the problem. The AC clutch is not getting juice and will not engage. Various fuses, including those under the hood are OK. Wires to compressor and freon valve adjacent are OK. Suggestions?

need to check and verify that your fuses for the AC are good and that you refrigerant in the system if you don't your low pressure cut out switch is tripped and it wont let the clutch engage. If you need to add some you may have to hot wire the clutch to get the compressor to run to suck it in

JC,
Thanks! I did not know that refrigerant level would keep the clutch from cutting in; I'll check that today. |
