Powerstroke crazy
Ok guys I work at a used cars dealership. A couple of month a ago we traded for a 1995 Powerstroke 4x4 with 210 on the miles. I bought the thing and did some work on it and cleaned it up. I love the old thing. It is a 5sd with 410 rear in. I am going to keep it just to run around and drag trailer to a small ranch.
Well I like it so much I purchase a 99 PS 4x4 CC with 148 on the miles. There are a couple of things that I need to fix on this rig. There is an oil leak that I am going to fix. I found oil in the the valley so I know I am getting closer to where it is is coming from. Next the power mirrows don't work. Any help here would be appreicated. Also the overhead computer no workey. Any help here. All help appreicated. Sorry so long. dwest |

the oil is probably a galley plug or an oil line for the high pressure oil pump. The mirrors might be the switch or even a simple fuse. Couldnt help ya on the overhead thing. Might start by checking all the fuses. congrats on the new rig!

I checked all my fuses and they were ok, but there are several blank places and I don't have any books any way to see if there is any fuses missing.

I found some fuse numbers. The number 4 is for the power mirrors. It is a 10 amp. As far as the overhead console it is number 19 and it is a 10 amp also. These are all under the dash inside the truck. If these test good you might check the power D. box under the hood. There might be a fuse there blown or as I've seen someone had just taken it out. A test light will quickly make sure they are all good. Just a thought. Hope this helps.
