Boosts good until about 10psi?

I've got an '01 6 speed that'll boost hard to about 10psi then seems like its losing air? sometimes sounds like after 10 psi that air starts shooting out from somewhere it aint supposed to...I got a TS on it that's really never smoked much at all, just kinda put out a haze...any ideas on what the problem might be? It runs good and will pretty much hang with my friends truck that'll boost to 25 psi quickly...thought maybe about the MAP sensor? might not be giving me fuel since it aint reading full boost?

Thanks for any input

Have you checked that you really do not have a boost leak?

Not to jack your thread, but what does everyone mean by up pipe? I need to check mine because it sounds like it has an exhaust leak so I thought I'd check the pipes tonight when I get home from work.

There the pipes that come off the exhaust manifolds and feed into the turbo...look back at your turbo and you'll see a Y connector and the pipes going down...look and see if there's soot around the pipes or on the firewall
