HPOP and SES!?

Ok, so I installed a modded 17* hpop from Joey @TE in March 2010. I supplied him the hpop and he did whatever. Untill August, this month, it starts to throw the SES light a lot. And today it came and went 7 times under 10 miles. Had it scanned last week and had the kam error and P1211 icp out of range code.

Im am sooo tempted to put my stock hpop back on.

Someone mentioned it could be putting a lot out. Im still thinking its under. Had a rough idle since this was installed.

Whats next?



edit* came on today with all speeds. From March till like late June, there were no lights. Then it came on once when pushing it at 95mph. And didn't come on again till August.

what kinda scanner dude??? code puller? need the ipr and icp readings,you got accsess to a snap on er auto enginuity dont ya??? i can send ya mine long as you dont sell it fer crack! fer real tho,if you need one i gotta snap on mt2500 that works great on our trucks man.im gettin the solus pro next week hopefully,freakin snap on truck wants like 2 down! ima do it tho,its worth it. holler if ya need man...and no i would not send it to just anyone people,j-rod here helped me on my rebuild spot on man

I don't have the ability to do that since I don't have a scanner. I had it scanned in mayish and got the idle readings at that time and sent them to Joey.

It was one of them $10k mechanic scanners. And the tech ran the test with buzz and cct. Thats how I got the readings.

what were the results? did he say it was the hpop? you wanna sell that modded 17* just wondering.i need a modded one.i just gotta 17* i guess i could send it in, you got me wondering now.

Hey Jarrod, I'm falling a bit behind on my emails again, sorry for the delay.

#8 makes me a little curious, but it could be because it's the long lead injector(kind of normal).

PW, about right.

470-488, a little low, but anything that close in psi(by only 20psi or less) is pretty solid.

Oil temps are excellent!

Duty Cycle is also a bit low, but that's a good thing, because it tells me that the pump is very efficient.

Have you got a chip yet?

got the scan done on my truck today.

all injectors buzz test passed

on the cct, injector #8 failed with p0284

fuel pulse width is 2.2

injector psi jumping around 470-488 psi

duty cycle 5-6

oil temp was 183-185. it sat for 10 mins. forgot to look at the water temp.

so that started the trend of me thinking of it not putting out enough. and im about to take a 2k mile trip in 3 weeks.

Gotta get it back on a scanner to know Jarrod. That way you will know whats going on by doing some data logging. Get that info to Joey and he will be able to advise you from there. JJ

Ill go back to the mechanic tomorrow morn. Ill get another idle scan. But you think he will ride with me to see driving results or sitting in park with the rpms up in the high 2ks will work enough?
