Dumb HPOP Line Questions
I was looking my engine over, to find an oil leak, when I grabbed my drivers side HPOP line and it wiggled a bunch where it both goes into the HPOP and head. When the engine is running the lines are tight and don't move. Is that normal?
I'm pretty sure the drivers line has a pinhole leak, can it be changed out with the fuel bowl in place or will I have to remove it? |

year of truck?
The lines will get tought when they are pressurized. You shouldn't have to remove anything to replace the HPOP O rings, unless you are saying the line itself has been damaged... then i would still say you shouldn't have to replace anything. |

It's an 01. I suspect the drivers line has a pinhole leak since the lines stainless braid is nice and shiny except for a section about an inch from the HPOP fitting. That and the nice oil mist covering the entire top of the engine on the driver side. I wasn't sure if the movement was a function of the fitting or if something was coming loose.

Never mind. Slow day at work so I finally discovered the HPOP lines are a quick disconnect style so the flex is normal.
