You can have them fine tune it for you if I recall. I know on mine it shifted pretty hard on the 140.....

Just noticed this thread but i too have had the same issue on my 99 F-250 with the truck hiccup when switching between levels and I don't have the high idle setting; I opted for the stock so I could baseline the differences. I switch mine at idle in park and while going down the road with my foot off the throttle and it doesn't matter. My dads 02 F-250 has the same chip and we installed it at the same time and his has shut off while idling when we switch between levels. Nothing major on the complaint side but still curious as to why. I have yet to find any reason not to run the TS chip, it is still my favorite.

Should definitely!

Flea I never called TS to find out why mine would shut off sometimes when switching levels. Did you or anyone else?

I never called either. I did have an issue with the gas pedal being unresponsive sometimes when switching levels. I would be idling in park or going down the road coasting and no throttle at all; a dead pedal. This was sporadic. I switched to another TS chip(yesterday) in case the one I had was having issues with the programming or something and thus far I have not had the hiccup or the pedal issue. As I mentioned earlier I am still convinced the TS chip is the way to go. I am not switching that often usually leaving it in the 50 or 75 setting but on occasion I do have to play and smoke someone, literally!

By the way in response to Scooby; go ahead and get one you will like it!! Think of it as a good 'ol Scooby snack for your powerstroke...(and yourself too!)
