Ticking sound under full load?

I have a 03 7.3 auto 87000 mi with edge evolution, intake, intercooler, and exhaust. When Im pulling my fifth wheel (approx 10000 pounds) up hill I get a ticking sound. It sounds like the wastegate reliving pressure not sure though? Its not real loud and will decrease when I level out or not under a load. Any suggestions? thanks for the help!

Doubt if you would hear the waste gate but sounds like you might have an exhaust leak. Look at the exhaust manifolds at the heads and up pipes. On my truck the drivers side manifold was leaking at all 4 ports.
