Replaced ball joints/sway bar bushings now WTF?
I replaced my ball joints and sway bar/end link bushings a little over 3000 miles ago when I had the leveling kit installed. I kept the stock tires and wheels, steering stabilizer, etc...but the kit came with new shocks/bushings. I noticed a HUGE difference-no more "thunk" from under the floor when braking, and no more feeling like something was loose/rattling under the driver's side. 3000 miles later the rattling noise/vibration is back. It's especially evident if I'm on a washboard road-it just feels like stuff is bouncing around underneath the driver's side. How the hell could my truck have eaten a set of ball joints in 3000 miles!? Could they just be loose? I made sure they were greased and whatnot.
I was thinking maybe wheelbearings or hubs but I thought that they usually gave you trouble when you were turning? |
