What is the trailer towing capacity

Hi,
I have a 2001 F-350 Superduty 4X4 7.3 PowerStroke, single wheel, long bed, with automatic trans. What is the rated trailer towing capacity? I looked in the owners manual, but couldn't find a listing for the diesel, I think I must be missing the diesel supplement, my book only covers the gas engine model. I tow a 35' Fountain boat that weighs about 12,500 pounds and the truck handles it very well, just currious if I am within what the manufacture recomends.
TIA
David

I don't have the Diesel Supplement for the owners manual, I was hoping that someone who has a similar truck and has the diesel supplement could look it up for me.
TIA
Dave

I have a 2001 F250. I can look in the morning if that would help? At least it would be close. I have the same drivetrain: 7.3 w/4sp auto and 3.73 gears...

Well, My F-350 is almost the same....Ext Cab, short bed, SRW, and I can't remember off the top of my head, but the 12,500 is within the rated limits I am almost sure....I am pretty sure it's over 15,000.

Okay- so you got me curious and I went out at 1:30am to lookk in my packet...

My diesel Suppliment shows: F-350 w/3.73 single at 20,000lbs gcvw and max trailer of 10,000lbs on a conventional/class IV trailer hitch only... 5th wheel is GCVW minus GVW(truck)...

so what about a CLV and Weight Distro Hitch???

Thank you for looking. My hitch is not a 5th wheel, and not load equalizing, but it is what I think they call a Titan, 2 1/2" receiver with a 30,000 pound heat treated ball. When I bought the hitch I asked what the weight rating was and they said not rated, unlimited, I am not sure what that means.

It sounds like my truck is very similar specs as yours, same gear ratios too.
I wonder if the restriction is 10,000 or if the Titan hitch increases that any. I know that a standard 2" receiver has a 10,000 pound maximum restriction.
Thanks,
David
