Did homework...need bone 1211

I have read over a hundred threads looking for a replica to my problem.
Thought it might be the same prob from previous thread that had worn wiring/short but voltage is good at sensors.

Truck died like the key was turned off.

Replaced
CPS, IPR, HPOP (is primed and seated)
Checked voltage at sensors, removed chip
Fuel is flowing (going to check pressure today)

Had CPS code but I am still getting a p1211 code (is this a permanent code from the chip?)

Looking for one more bone before I take it to the dealer.

99 F250 PSD 7.3 L
Quadzilla Chip
K&N

If you could fill out your signature with info on your truck, it will help us help you. It is under User CP. But, you should not get any codes from a chip other than if you over boost it or something like that. Then if you get an CEL from that, it is usually a soft code. What year is your truck? I am sure we can get ya fixed up.

Cool, thanks Bain. You put info in a couple of different places. Now its there though. I wonder if you got a bad CPS?

gotta differ with ya on that code thing...a chip will most always throw a p1211 code and the SES light..as Jody will confirm, but with the chip being the root cause, its usually ok to just ignore it. My SES light will usually come on when I'm pulling a grade but will clear itself normally within 2 to 2 1/2 miles after cresting the hill. Yeah...its annoying as all getout but thats the nature of the beast. Has something to do with the HPOP not being able to quite keep up.

Howard, that is what I was referring to as the "soft code" It will clear itself once you get out of the throttle. I dont remember for sure, but I think that p1211 is above or below desired ICP, or something like that. And yes, you are correct on that. What I was saying about the code. The Chip should not set a code of you are idleing or something like that, more just when you get on it. Sorry I did not make that clear.

No action

Engine turns over with no fire, smoke, puff...nothing.

I have run 3 different CPS just to make sure.
The tach moves and it shows on the scan.

The SES would come on when I floored it usually during highway travel (entrance ramp, passing) but it always cleared in a couple minutes.

The only different situation before it died was the cruise stopped working for a few days the week prior and then started working a couple days before it stalled.

The oil was changed 4-5 days (~over 600 miles) prior and changed again after the stall just in case viscosity was not right?

The SES is pretty normal for that situation. I would not worry about that too much. The no start issue I am not sure about though. Maybe one of the techs will be along shortly and be able to get ya going again.

Could the hpop be bad? I could hear a hollow spinnin noise when it was crankin'. It was primed, oil was at the top. I will check again.
