Motor keeps shutting down

Hey guy.s
My motor keeps shutting down when I use the turn signals or step on the brake or when i slow down, I used my scan tool and found no saved Dtc codes saved in the pcm. I know it is electrical but I don't know where to start.

i presume that your entire engine shuts down at once versus losing one cylinder.
check your cam position sensor, maybe loose.
check connection on batteries/alternator. (if you lose power there, computer shuts down)
other than that, i can't think of anything.

Hey Sldghamr,

Thanks for the info. I took the big plunge and bought a cam positioning sencor. I very Happy to say that it fixed the problem. I love my truck again. Thanks again.

no problem, any time. i presume that you have the 7.3 engine?? keep any extra CPS in the glove compartment. the cps of this engine is prone to go out at anytime, literally. it might last 1k miles or 100k. i have gotten one myself yet partly bcuz i don't wanna jinx the one i have. my 96er 7.3 has 127k miles.
