2001 7.3l Starter problems

I have a 2001 powerstroke that I just replaced the starter on about a week ago, When it originally tore up on me I went to cold start it and I could see that it wasnt going to start because I hadn't let the glow plugs warm us so I let off the key and when I did the motor kept turning over (almost like it ran backwards the way it felt and sounded) and then the motor came to a hard stop. When I tried it again the starter would just click and do nothing. so I replaced the starter and it worked fine for about 4 days and now the starter will either stay engaged a few seconds after the truck starts running or it wont even engage the flexplate/flywheel and start... I bought the starter at advance auto it is a lifetime warranty reman. And both of my batteries are less than a year old. Any help thanks..

Have you checked your starter solenoid, sounds like it's bad and sometimes sticking and contacts are so bad it can't get enough current to starter
It's on pass side fender wall.

Could be the solenoid and make sure both batteries/connections and grounds are good
