Strange sound

I’m trying to find the source of this noise that won’t stop. On 3 out of 7 stops I’ll hear this dull thump toward the front of the truck. It sounds like someone throwing a rock at a piece of foam insulation. It’s a low frequency thump or pop. I can’t tell but it seems like I feel it in my brake but that’s not for sure. Any suggestions?

check your ball joints. mine did the same thing. all i did to determine this was jack up the right front, and push and pull on the top and bottom of the tire.

yeah it really depends on how many miles are on your truck and how its been driven. all i can say is that i got lucky with my ball joints. my truck has been beaten through the oil fields its whole life and i just did the ball joints for the 1st time at 150,000mi. and im still on the original front wheel bearings at 161,000.
