absolutley can just depending on where the bad spot is in the tp sensor , most generally if it is acting up it will give a code but may not turn the light on

After I went home yesterday I did some exploring and found out what you guys just said. I didn't realize these things had an electronic throttle. Is the pedal assembly a pretty expensive replacement?

Also while I was down there exploring, I found a micro switch behind the go pedal similar to what you would see with a nitrous kit. Is that factory?

I've been having the same issue with my pedel; however, I checked the voltage and it seems to be fine. Could it be going out or is it just time to bite the bullet and replace it?

I replaced mine as well and so far it seems to be working fine; however, I did it about a week ago and now I'm in South Dakota with the National Guard and won't be able to drive for at lease another week or so. Let's just hope that it works from now on...

The 97 I just bought from the city water and lighting side has a micro switch on the pedal, kinda like the brake light switch on the brake pedal.
So I wouold say it's factory unless the city is putting propane or nitrous on the work trucks!

Where do you get a TPS or pedal assembly?
Can you replace just the sensor?
