glow plug control module

Hi Memebers:

I was reading about faulty glow plug relays making cold starts very hard & members replacing the OEM with a stancor relay. Anyways, I have a Calif. model Excursion which has a glow plug control module instead of a GPR.
My ? is, can a glow plug control module go bad exhibiting the same hard cold start symptoms of a bad GPR???
Do these glow plug control moduels go bad after time as the GPR's?

Thanks

Sure they go bad and will cause hard starts when cold. The problem is they cost a heck of a lot more than a GPR!!! IIRC the last one we priced was $300 or so.
