glow plug control module
Hi Memebers:
I was reading about faulty glow plug relays making cold starts very hard & members replacing the OEM with a stancor relay. Anyways, I have a Calif. model Excursion which has a glow plug control module instead of a GPR. My ? is, can a glow plug control module go bad exhibiting the same hard cold start symptoms of a bad GPR??? Do these glow plug control moduels go bad after time as the GPR's? Thanks |

I would assume they do.

Sure they go bad and will cause hard starts when cold. The problem is they cost a heck of a lot more than a GPR!!! IIRC the last one we priced was $300 or so.
