Injection Pump?

My dad has a early 99 f250 do they have injection pumps? There is a code that says injector above/below desired pressure. Also, when driving after letting off the accelerator you can hear the engine missing. What could this be, I was thinking injection pump, but not sure if they have them. Thanks for the help

no, it has no "injection pump" It has a High Pressure Oil Pump, the setup is exactly the same as your truck, it uses a heui injection system. Check here http://www.intellidog.com/dieselmann/injector.htm for an explanation of the HEUI injection system. That code should point to an injector......

Ok I will look at the code again, if it is not an injector could it be his HPOP going out?
