I'm having a problem starting my 7.3l it's been stuck on the side of the highway for three days now, I turn the key, all interior lights come. Wait to start light comes on, all normal- I turn the key to engage the starter to crank the truck and it makes a faint clicking noise from around the parking brake and another single click on the passenger side, sounds like around the starter relay mounted on the fender well, I've put 2 brand new batteries in it as well as replaced the starter relay, I've checked all connections and wires, my mechanic skills are limited, know enough to get by, any help is greatly appreciated
2 clicks and no start, new batteries and starter relay

Put a screwdriver across the starter relay terminals and see if it will crank if so then you could have a bad relay, or something else electrical like the transmission sensor. Try putting it in neutral and see if it will crank. If it doesn't crank when you jump the starter relay then you could have a bad starter, try hitting it with a hammer. What made it quit in the first place?
I agree. Jump the relay with a screwdriver. This takes the control side out of the picture. If it still doesn't crank doing that, its either the starter, or cables. That is, b+, ground/connection
My first question would be, why is it on the side of the road? Was it running OK and then die and not restart?
Or did it shut off like normal and this is a single issue?
You may have a bad starter or one of the connections from the battery isn't as good as you think it is. Try taking a hammer (or something heavy) and giving the starter motor a few good Whacks (this reseats internal connections) and see what happens.
Go with somebody and turn the High Beams on and have them watch what they do when you try to crank it over (do they go dim? Out?, or mostly unchanged).
This was a one time thing, hadn't had any issues before this, as I was driving prior to it running hot, it lost all power with the throttle pressed in but didn't kill the engine, I let off the throttle and pushed it in again and it started going again, shortly after it ran hot, I killed it and then that, I went today and got the starter and it cranked but didn't turn over, had a buddy come and hook up to the computer and it's reading the keep alive memory code, he cleared it, it cranked right up, I got in and got it to the house, died in the driveway and hasn't cranked since.
