Starter hanging?
I got a 2001 7.3, 4x4, auto, today its started making a whineing/ratlling noise at start up but if i mash the accelertor it quits, sounds to me coming from the starting i recently bought this truck and it has had a new starter put on it recently. I did wash the underarriage today too. any ideas of whats going on? thanks guys

Check and make sure the bolts are tight. They have been known to back out. Start with this first.
