Exclamation got a new (to me) truck, whats missing in the pic

First off I picked up this truck from a yard in VA and am cleaning it up for personal and shop use. We own a bodyshop so repair is not an issue. The previous owner or salvage yard removed the exhaust back of the turbo and intake along with battery tray. This obviously tells me he had some performance parts in it. Im thinkin he had a AFE II or similar and some sort of turbo back exhaust. My question is can I simply install a new AC or do I need any sensors like a mass air flow on a gas motor. I am new to diesels but not to superdutys. Also in the second picture theres alot of oil blow by on the intercooler tube is this normal for a farm truck?

sorry for the premature post, I found out after a little more searching. But on the air filter, am I good to go with a AFE or do I need something else? The only thing entact is the turbo itself, anything in front of it it gone, box filter, lid, tube, etc... Thanks for the help all.

yeah theres a few things I need along with a complete front clip. I priced it out and I'll have about 1100 in parts doing an 05 front end using aftermarket grill, lights, bumper and plastics, headlight mounting panel, fenders, etc..(not counting the inner structure and hood) The first thing I noticed when I opened the hood was the power steering pump, at least it still has fluid! Im lookin foward to the build, now I just gotta decide exactly what I want. Thanks again for the help. Im sure I'll have a few more newb questions later down the road.
