You do have to pay out of pocket for the CPS. It's only $24 at the dealer. I did it myself so that I wouldn't have to let my truck sit at the dealer all day. It takes about 5 minutes to change out...very simple, one 10MM bolt. I'm having the same problem with my truck and that didn't fix the problem...changed many sensors and still not running...we are getting stumped and ready to send to dealer. Hopefully CPS fixes it for you. I know people that keep spares because they go bad so frequently.

You might have needed to pay the $24 because you did the install, I have had Ford replace 2 CPS in my truck, both covered under the recall and did not cost me a thing.
I would suspect your batteries are shot, or at least one is. Have them tested and remember it is better to replace both at the same time.
