Cackle?

I sent a message to CrazyDiesel about the cackle issue 7.3s seem to have at idle, he has a good soundclip so I went ahead made a video of mine, I swear my truck "cackles" but I'm unsure, it's not loud but it's something to get used to hearing. I'm not too worried about it, but anyone else care to listen? Excuse the crude video.. in the vid truck is warmed up all the way from a 28 mile drive, and it's at freezing or below outside temps. 14meg warning.

Figure I'll start a general thread since my searches didn't come up with a solid issue about it.

Haha, thanks. I had a bunch of salt on the underside of the motor, and even up to the valve covers and upper firewall from Maryland salting the crap out of the roads in the few snowstorms we've had, so I decided the first chance its 50 I'll clean up the motor.

Ehh..

I guess all of our 7.3s have that sound - I guess all from a design by Ford, more like a little hammer tapping on something with the rest of the injection sound of our diesels.

Yours sounds like this too Marty?

In all honesty, I was looking at the setup on ITPs website trying to find a price, but their disclaimer has been that the kit is discontinued and dont know when it'll be back up. It really doesnt bother me.
