I'm looking for a little help here:
I've got a 2002 F250 7.3L. Driving today I thought I felt the AC turn off and blow ambient air. At the same time I noticed the battery light on the dash. I confirmed this with my Edge CTS and I was reading 12.1V.
What I've done: Checked all connections. No corrosion and everything is tightly installed. The belt is tight, as well. No pully movement on alternator.
I'm inclined to think this is a 14 yr old truck with 180k and the alternator is shot, but the AC dropping off made me wonder if there was another issue? Is there any correlation?
Thoughts?
