truck wont start

00 f250, just gutted ebv and put new pedestal orings in. started up fine twice then changed oil. now takes forever to start and having to jump off. please help before I blow it up. once it does though it runs like a champ! I have looked it over 20 different times now to see if I missed something hooking up everything and it all looks good. the only thing I am worried about it when I gutted the exhaust valve I didn't not have a tap so I just used a bolt with a two washers and locking nut. was that a no no? I was laying all over the engine so who knows what I messed up.. ahhhhahahahahahhahaahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

anyone, truck will not start on its own. when it does it runs great.

mine does the same thing when i let it sit for a while....
