Are you talking about the FASS fuel system. Or something else.

I have no idea what a FASS sysytem is, but what I am referring to is a screw on filter and filter mounting system. Looks like the airdog is a pump as well

The air dog and the Fass system looks basically the same to me. I know a few guys that run the Fass system, but I never installed one myself. I am sure some one on here has one of these systems installed on there truck. I know the Fass does help out in the performance area of the truck. I have been looking at a system like this as well but money I can't justify the purchase just yet.

Actually I am thinking of an aftermarket inline filter. I think they sell them at tractors supply warehouse. And the line before the pump is replaced and the filter is mounted on the frame rail of the vehicle. The original fuel pump is used and the filters in the tank are removed. I think it can be done for around $100

Ok I understand what your wanting to do now. Seems like a simple mod, sounds like a simple way to filter the fuel prior to the pump as well. Go for it do a write up on it and take some photos of it and post it up when your done. The only concern I would have is leaks.

Leaks shouldn't be a problem, he is basically talking about the harpoon mod, and an external filter before the pump. Get ahold of Dennis at ITP, I believe he has a set up like that, without the pump on it. While your in the tank you could do the Hutch mod as well.

No problem, glad we could help.

Hey BC, Air Dog, was the first one, then the son broke away from the company and started building the FASS system. From what I have heard, the Air Dog is the better of the two as far as quality goes, and the father and son don't have any use for each other, Just a few tidbits I picked up looking into them.

Gord.
