2001 starting problem

The truck has 133k on it and the engine really hasn't given me many troubles until now. When the truck sits for a few days it's nearly impossible to start. If I run it everyday, it's perfect. Dealership said it was a problem with the high pressure oil system and they are looking for $1k to fix. I talked to another shop and they offered to do the work for $800. I was told this job is mostly labor. Does this price sound right? At the dealership they never have me talk to the tech its always some stupid service "advisor" or "manager" never the guy who knows really what is going on. The truck does not leak oil so it does not seem like the common o-ring problem that I am reading about. When I talked to the other shop the guy said they have done this job a bunch of times.... Anyone have any tips?

There's a lot to the ICP system. What O-rings are they talking about? Injector?

Sorry for lack of info. I found the service slip and I went through it and they have all sorts of stuff on it with some codes, but in the end it says: "Vehicle needs injector reseal kit performed" They want $980 for this job. Does this sound right?

That job is 7 hours book time plus the O-ring kits. So if their labor is as high as I think it is that sounds about right. It would be about $750 at my shop but we're an independant shop so...

If the problem is what I think it is. Injector O rings arent gonna fix it. Whats ICP when cranking cold? If thats where it belongs. It may need injectors

OK Dave, I have the estimate and some codes. P0340-CMP sensor circuit malfunction, P1211- ICP not controllable? Pressure above/below desired, P1212- ICP voltage not at expected level.

They checked the glowplugs and the check valve in the fuel filter housing assembly it says here. Also says they isolated it to the system bleeding down. I waited 4 days last week to start it and it started fine. I use it to plow so I am worried about cold starting, and the dealership said it will only get worse.
