Its normal to smoke some white when its cold. All diesels do it.

This should be moved to a different section.

One of two minor things: fuel filter or dirty injectors. Replace filter, run a bottle of injector cleaner, should go away. Am currently having same issue on startup due to me being neglectful in filter maintenance. Hope this helps.

Yeah this should be moved to a different section, but I screw up some times to. Dont worry about it. And as Duraturd stated above it is normal for Diesel to spit alil white smoke when its cold. Especially when they have some miles on them. But taking care of your filters and stuff should take care of the problem. How many miles do you have?

212k and only during startup? If the smoke goes away after a few seconds..

I would ignore it. Unburnt fuel

Issues? Most likely worn out glow plugs. Could be worn rings or sticky injectors when cold.

Again, ignore it unless it is REALLY bad.
