Climate Control Question?

I have a 2000 Excursion that does NOT have the Digital Auto Climate Control but, I want it. Assuming I can find one, I was wandering if it's possible to swap my manual unit for a digital one? Anyone else ever tried this? Can it be done?

You have no idea what a PITA your walking into. I have one in my jeep, and I was ready to get rid of the Jeep because of that thing, nothing can be self diagnosed in it, everything has to be checked at the dealer, and everything involved with it is -- that's a couple of hundred please-- If anything, go out to your EX and give the one you got a big kiss.

Sorry for the venting, just trying to get the point across.

Gord.

Thanks, I've gotten some good info. on making the swap, turns out to be lot more complicated than I'm interested in. Installing sensors, finding a wiring harness, etc.... Thought if it was simple I'd do it, but it's not so I won't! Thanks for your help.
