Cup Holder

I have a 99.5 Crew Cab and the stock in dash cup holder is no bueno. I've already had two drinks tump out of it. My buddy with an 02 crew cab has a different cup holder, will the later style cup holders be a direct replacement? Does anyone make a console that fits on the floor in front of the middle seat?

Yes the later cup holder will fit, I replaced mine with one. I dunno about the console

We don't have a cupholder we have a cup thrower!!! Getting the newer model cup holder was the best mod I did according to my wife!! Call Powerstrokeshop.com and order the new one and it bolts right in, then sell your old one on Ebay for more than you paid for the new one, that's what I did.

Bang for the buck, best money I ever spent on my truck. FWIW if you have tan interior, it won't match color wise exactly. It's not terribly noticeable, depending on how picky you are. Mine was always open anyway, until I replaced the jump seat with an 08 center console, which has cup holders in the front.

Thanks for the info guys. I've been scrubbing the passenger floor mats all day trying to get the Dr. Pepper out of it. Not fun having an entire Sonic Route 44 spill leaving the parking lot.

Do you have pics of the 08 center console mounted in your truck? Sounds like something I need to do.

Make sure you get the mounts with the console. Some ebay sellers don't include them cause of the extra shipping. Make sure.

Well i dont know if the 02's are the same but the one in my 05 is way way better than the one from my 99. I havent lost a drink yet in the new truck. I don't see any reason why they wouldnt swap out; and all these guys say it works.

Well I decided not to replace the in dash cup holder. I had a friend recommend this setup to me and I love it. It fits well and I didn't even use the supplied screw or velcro to attach it and it stays, as do my drinks finally. Price is great too, cheaper than most other alternatives. Here's the link.
