08 center console

I saw some of you guys were putting the new console into older yr trucks. Would anyone who has done this please chime in, i need to get a measurement from the front of the console to the front trim piece above the dog house. I need this measurment cause i have a gun safe mounted on top of the dog house and i want to know if the new console will fit. I also have the 4x4 stick on the floor.

Can someone measure the distance from center to center of mounting holes? Frt to frt, 0-0, rear to rear 0-0. and also frt to rear.
Thinking of installing one in my OBS.

What do you do about your arm rests if you go to an 08 console?

Personally my truck had 40-20-20 seats, so no armrests. I'm looking for leather seats, so I PM'd some guys with arm rests, and they said it doesn't interfere with the console. Don't know first had if that's true, but thats what I was told.
