Dome Light Wires?

I have recently purchased a 99 F350 and the dome light doesnt work, I thought it was probably a bulb, fuse, or something simple but when I took off the lens and dome light assembly I found that there were no wires plugged into it anywhere. So I called the fella I bought it from and he told me that his buddy put a new headliner in it but that was about all the help I got. Does anybody know where the wires run from and what I need to do to fix it, I'm new at all of this, any help is greatly appreciated, it sucks climbing in and out of a dark truck. Thanks

If he replaced the headliner the wires are probably still up under the headliner, he just didn't run them to the light. you might want to pull the headliner and take a look.

I've never done one on the Ford, but done them on Dodge and Chevs. Just unbolt anything attached to the headliner, and you will probably have to pull the weather striping off the sides as well. then take out the light fixtures, and it should be ready to come down. they are usualy a pressed cardboard or fiber type cardboard, so you don't want to get to agressive with it. there may be some press in clips holding it in place. It's not a tough job at all, just takes a little patience and common sense. --Good luck--Gord.
