2000 F350 cup holder

I bought a 2000 F350 a few months ago. I have trained myself out of using the cupholder but I don't always stop passengers in time. At least I went through this in the summer, so the lesson was learned with iced coffee :-)

Is there a replacement cupholder that's designed to keep the cups in the holder rather than the driver's lap ?

Did Ford change the design later on, and if they did, will it fit in place of my existing one ?

Thanks,
Charles

this aint the first time ive heard about this. but , i have no problems at all with mine yet it holds them big ole king size burger king cups (alot) with not a single drop spilled. the drivers side is a little wore out but still holds em.

I've been thinking of getting another one just like in the rear seat and installing the fasteners to the top of the front fold down console. That way when the console is down, I can clip on the drink holder, and if up for a middle front seat, pop it off - no harm done.

Hilarous thread!! I have sent countless cups onto the floorboards on either side during turns. They stay put during power and braking, but turn hard enough and they're gone unless you get lucky to stop it first!

LOL I can't remember how many times I have pulled out of a drive thru and dumped my drink leaving the place... Glad to know others out there have that problem... Like 99smokin said, unless you manage to jump across the truck in a matrix like move to catch it before it hits

Are you all talking about the console holders or the in dash holders? They used different styles from year to year, at least 99-01

Yeah it's not so much the smaller cups...they seem to stay put...but the big gulp cups that are small at the bottom and ballon at the top love to just go falling over
Hey Robert when you say you can't bet your cupholder back in, do you mean someone pulled the whole holder setup out? I do that all the time, and it slides back in, but it's kind of tricky if you don't get it just right.

I am glad I saw this thread. I have not lost a cup yet and now will be on the look out for it. I just got it detailed and new factory floor mats (carpet).

cup holder

i wish i could get my hands on one of those cups the ford crew used when designing the cup holders. that was one thing i noticed when shopping for my used truck, most had stains on either or both sides of the cup holders.
