Are these subs any good?
I've got 2 Kicker S12L5 Solobaric Subs, 2-ohm, 1200w a piece. Anybody running these or something close to it? What are yalls opinions on them? Do they "hit" pretty hard? I also need some help in amp selection, i want these babies powered to their max! Whats a good amp?
As far as mounting i think im going to remove the center console between my bucket seats and run a box from the front to the back along where the console is sitting now (if they fit) and have the "one sub up front and one in the back" look. |

I've had the L7 solobaric line in a few of my vehicles and I'll tell ya what...these subs are great!
Any sub along the solobaric/L series is a great sub to own. Make sure your wiring is done correctly as far as ohm's are concerned. Pick an amp that will supply the proper RMS wattage to your subs when wiring correctly to get the best punch. The sound will come if you give these subs enough airspace to breath! Sergio |

Looks like the rms is 600w a piece, so an amp that runs 1200w rms would be ideal for you....either mono or 2 channel, or even more channels if you want to run your door speakers through the amp ...like this, hers'a a nice mono : NEW HIFONICS BXI1208D 1200w RMS MONO CAR STEREO AMP - eBay (item 220338096947 end time Jan-31-09 12:00:36 PST) |
