AUTOMATIC LIGHTS

HAS ANY ONE EVER PUT AUTOMATIC LIGHTS IN A TRUCK WITHOUT THEM. MY 04 IS A LARIAT AND IT HAS THEM I WANT TO PUT THEM ON MY 01 DO I JUST CHANGE THE SWITCH OR IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I NEED TO DO?

I don't what all you would have to have, but just a switch won't do it. You have to have the photocell that detects light. It is in the middle of your dash on your 04. It looks like a little black dome. Not sure if you have to have a seperate module and/or wiring harness. Probably would cost quite a bit to put it in your truck.

You can use the autolamp/electrochromatic mirror from a '98 or newer explorer and a couple relays. Functional, but not factory looking.
