keyless entry/ pdl problem

So I am very much new to the diesel world. Ive had my 2000 f250 for about two weeks now. Im loving it. im slowly trying to iron out all the kinks. the problem that im onto now is the power door locks. I have searched and searched and havent seen an issue on here quite like this, maybe you veterans can give me some guidance. neither door lock switch works on my supercab. no noise at the motors or anything. i checked the power at the switch with a test light and it seems to be working. I then realized that the keyless entry computer was unplugged, i plugged it back in. the truck freaked out for a second giving me a few random honks. Using the key fob i could hear the door lock motors trying to work, but not lock or unlock. with the keyless entry computer plugged in the switches still have no effect. I looked at the loom going thru the drivers door and didnt notice any broken grounds. Im at a loss. has anyone experienced this or know what to try next? Thank you so much in advance. I already see how valuable this forum will be for me.

WELCOM TO POWERSTROKE.ORG !!! Pull the door panel on one side or the other, manually lock and unlock the door while watching the rods at the latch assembly and see how they work. The plastic clips that hold the rods in place may be broken or out of adjustment, or you may have the VERY common problem of weak or non-working lock actuators. Happens a lot with those trucks, especially after a couple hundred thousand miles. Lube that latch assembly while you're in there.

thanks for the welcome!. I did pull off the panel and everything looks to be in order ie, clips electrical conn. ect. I just found it very odd that the keyfob would at least get the motors to try and the switches did nothing. i checked the maxi fuse in the engine comp. it was good. im trying to look at everything before i fork out for new motors

Probably bad actuators. My right rear on my crew cab is getting weak, especially in cold weather. There are LOTS of threads and how-tos on here, as well as some good deals with people selling good used or new replacements.
