Permanent door ajar and non working locks

So today my power locks went out. Only thing that works on them is the illumination. No sounds or clicks or anything. They just dont work, on all the doors. At The same time, the door ajar light stays on.
Also my radio stays on even after opening door. Has 10minute timer though. Dome lights also don't come on until key is turned...

I tired pulling and checking all the fuses. All looked good. Pulled and placed the k126 relay back in and that didn't work either.

Also I did the whole "wd40 into the latches" thing and it didn't help at all either.

So what do I need to do or check? I'm leaning towards the vsm.

Ok so today I took actuator out and it works just fine. I also tried taking and reconnecting the vsm and all plugs are secured. Idk what the problem is unless it's a faulty vsm.

my door ajar stayed on. Sprayed some wd-40 into the little catch arm, protruding from extra cab door, on each side and been great for 2+ YRS

Spraying WD40 didn't work for me, either. I used my AE to find out which door lock switch was bad and paid a windshield shop $35 to change it out. I have the same problem with my door locks not working but that didn't fix it.

Vehicle security module. Only on 2001.5 and newer.

Using the AE for the switch test is the best thing for sure

Sorry to hijack your thread.
I have a 99 that the key fob will lock doors but wont open doors,(they open fine with key and mashing the unlock button). The dealership told me that the VSM was the problem, now I'm learning from Schlutzer that my truck doesn't even have a VSM?

Nope you have a GEM module instead. RKE module is what controls your locks anyway... that dealership is blowing smoke.

If your power locks work to lock with the fob, but not unlock, and they will unlock with the door button then I would lean to the fob itself being the culprit do you have a second one? If not they are really cheap to buy and you program a new fob yourself in a few seconds. (google it it's really easy).
