Door Won't Open

So I did the tin foil trick on my door lock actuators a while back, and I'm just now getting around to fixing the door (door in question is my rear drivers side). I guess I put it back together wrong. None of the handles work and I can't get my door open. Is there any way to open the door from inside the door panel? I took off the door panel from inside the truck and tried everything I could think of, but no luck. Can anyone help?

It is because of the how you clipped the latch rods back in. When I did mine a few months back I ran into the same issue with the drivers door. If you put the green clip too far up on the rod it won't open and too far down and it won't stay closed

But wouldn't that only affect the outside handle?

No it will affect the inside handles too. Watch the lock pin when you try and use the outside handle. I bet the pin is moving down when you try and open the door.

I guess that makes sense, because it was one of the last doors I did and I did it the same way as the others, and it's the only one I screwed up. And I think the lock pin moves down, but I'm not positive. Can't check right now, got other things going on.

That worked! Thanks so much! I can't tell you how irritating that was. Only bad part is I lost my replacement actuator, so I had to buy a new one. Until then, I guess I'll be unlocking that door like I used to before I fixed everything. A whole lit of work and anger, and I'm not far from where I started, just my luck haha.

I am glad it worked. I have had those door panels on and off more than I would like to admit. I am hoping my front ones have been installed for the last time, or at least until I decide to install new speakers. The rear ones have to come off again to install sound deadener on them and then they should be done too.
