Where does this radio go to?

I am looking at a radio on ebay, the part number from the person is 4L2F-18K884-AC? He purchased it new, and does not no what car it was suppose to go into. Can anyone help? I would like to put it into my 2001, but not sure if it will fit. The above mentioned part number is the only number on the unit. See pictures below.

Wow looks just like the stock one in my rig!

One question for your truck though, do you have the correct wiring harness?

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure that Ford head units are interchangeable between ALL Ford vehicles.
I did a little picture research and found that 2001 super duties could be optioned with a 6 disc changer. So your truck has the correct reciever. Here's the pic I found:

Hope that answers your question!

EDIT: To answer Shee's question: the wiring harness is a STOCK harness, no extra wires needed. I have done it before, the harness is a plug-and-play installation, only piece needed is the head unit.

The only reason I asked was because the unit out of my friends psd fit perfectly in my F150, but I was missing plugs/wires.... And my brother (who used to own a car stereo store and did all installs) told me I would need a different wiring harness .... Maybe the superduty's are all stock with the correct one? If so, learn something new every day.

your right banshee. If you are changing a stock head unit to a stock head unit, it's going to be a no wire needed install. If you are changing from an aftermarket to a stock, or the other way around, you will need to add, or remove. Stock to stock is the easiest way to go!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I know that you can get a 6-cd radio head, but what about one that has 6-cd and sat and dsp button? And I don't even know what the dsp button does?

Thanks for the replies though!

you guys are 99% right...that headunit is out of a 2000-03model ford and the wiring harness will be the same in your 01...for any other years, you will have to splice wiring harnesses....IE...i took the 6disk outta my 02cougar and put in my moms 01F150lariat....perfect fit....but for my 06 f250 its a totally different wiring harness.........side note...DO NOT EVER put homemade cd's with the paper labels into that 6disk changer...it will be one of the biggest pains in the world when it gets stuck inside...

Thanks Bigwes, but most of the radio heads came with 2 black plug-ins, not 3 grey, in the Ford 99-03. I am still not sure if I can make it work with my 2 black plug-ins. I think the third small plug is for a sub, which my truck doesn't have or steering wheel controls? Thanks everyone for responding though!

ford radio wire harness

from 1998 to 2004 ford vehicles used the same wire harnesses in the vehicles the only time there will be extra plugs is if you had the ford mach/JBL audio system that had a seperate amplifier, so that 6disc unit should work just fine for you

I think this is a Audiophile sound system, so do I need special plug to connect to my 2 black plugs? Where to I go from here? Or do I have to cut and splice? Also, where can I go for a Sirus hook-up?
