Gentex Rear view camera install.....

Was looking to grab one of these things up. I love the way how the back up cameras in the new SD's work. How hard is the install? I am gonna use the rear view mirror that they sell to go along with it.

Just wondering if anyones installed on aftermarket in their trucks. Thanks

I read about one in a diesel truck magazine called Swift Hitch. From what I read, the system is wireless & the signal is transmitted to a 2.5" LCD screen. It can transmit the signal up to 300ft., & has 15ft. night vision range. The camera has a heavy duty magnet that installs on your receiver or tailgate. The only thing I don't find so great about it, is the LCD screen is only 2.5"...hope you're not nearsighted! Anyway, the install doesn't seem to be too difficult.

I put one in my half ton and loved it. I had a flip out dvd unit in there and it hooked up with a rca cable. I drilled a hole in my license plate and put it there. The wireless ones are even easier to hook up. (no wires)
