194 Bulb Buyting Tip

I went to Pep Boys today to pick up some bulbs. I needed 3 or 4 194 bulbs. I went through the computer where it tells you what bulbs are what and it said there was a bulk pack of 194's available at the store. The guy working had no clue about it. He looked it up on the computer and sure enough, they had a 10 pack of 194 bulbs.

2 194 bulbs would have cost me $4.99. I bought 2 - 10 packs of bulbs, they were $1.50 for each pack. I also picked up a 10 pack of 912 bulbs, they were $2.00. That was the only bulbs that fit my truck that they had available in bulk.

So, next time you are in Pep Boys, ask them about the 194 - 10 packs. There are a ton of those things in the dash. Not to mention they fit several other places too.

Pep Boys Part Numbers :
PL194PK - 10 Pack Mini 194 - $1.50
PL912PK - 10 Pack Mini 912 - $2.00

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!!!

I wonder if there is a quality difference? One set was $2.50 each bulb and the others were .15 each... Huge difference in price, hopefully the quality is the same becasue it isn't fun gaining access to the instrument cluster bulbs.

There may be a quality difference. I don't know. The instrument cluster isn't the only place that bulb is used though.
