Heated seat swap

I don't know why, but Ford thought it would be a good idea to make some Lariats without heated seats. Is it possible for me to just buy a set of heated ones and swap them in? Would they be a direct swap or would I probably have to do some wiring on them?

yes it can be done! there is indeed some wiring involved, you will need ALL the wiring harnesses to get the job done! Pretty much swapping all wiring harnesses for the seats and the ones in the dash!

Not to step on your toes Dylan but your truck being a lariat, it MAY actually already have the plug already underneath the seat, i cant recall what year they started offering heated seats, but if your in that year range it would be worth pulling the seat out real quick and checking under the carpet for unused plugs and it may already be prewired. Yours being a 03 i think heated seats started in late 01-02(someone correct me if im wrong).

Hell my truck came without power seats but i swapped in full power seats and it had the plug already for power seats so no wiring was required.

I figured it would. If that's the case then the hardest part would be finding leather seats that are in good condition.

I have a set of grey ones that are about 9/10 but unfortunately im only interested in trading them for cloth seats with a center jump seat
