Radio trouble

I just bought a 99 F350 that the radio display does not show. Everything else on it worls fine, just no display, until the other night for a few minutes, it came on. I had a little to drink, but everyone saw it. What could it be, I have not ckecked any fuses yet, but?

Thanks Charlie

Sounds like you might have a loose connection somewhere in there. If you get power to the whole unit and it still works, it may be a short to the LCD where the display is. Do you still have all the lights, do they work when you turn on your headlights?

All of the lights on the buttons work fine. They work fine with the running lights on and dim with the dimmer.

Thanks

Yup, prolly a bad connection to the LCD. Def if it comes on and then goes off. Dont really know how to fix it other than go in there with a saudering(sp) gun or buy a new one.

It would be an internal connection...easier to buy a new one!

I've had that happen in other vehicles before.... $100 just to fix it, not really worth the time and trouble if ya can pick one up on ebay or something.
