Parking brake light?

My parking brake light won't work when i push the brake thus the computer doesnt know its push so it wont let the high idle engage. I even grounded the switch out and no dice. Anybody have an idea where to check to get it working?

mine has a phillips looking screw, that the pedal will rest against to turn light off. You inspect that yet?

Well its not even getting power from the wire, i tested that by grounding it out or putting power to it and it wont work so im suspecting power issue not switch issue
