Cluster on the ceiling

I got a 99 F-250 Powerstroke Lariat I am working on for a co-worker. The cluster of info on the ceiling is not working. You know where it has the compass, fuel mileage average, Outside Temp, and all that good info it stopped working a couple days ago. Fuse is good. Could the bulb be burned out and if so how do I get to it and replace it. does it even have a bulb.

I belive they are LCD. No bulb but that could have gone out. Not sure how to change it though. I am sure you could pull it off and look. Can't be that hard. Famous last words.

Cluster on the Ceiling

The last time I siad can't be that hard was when I worked on a 94 Mercury Sable replacing the water pump. It ended up taking three days. So don't ever say it can't be that hard. Even if your just doing a simple oil change I have learned to plan for the worst.

I know what you mean, the other day when I was putting on my new billet grill, I though no big deal, six bolts; can't take but just a few. The next thing I know, They sent the wrong hardware, I broke one of the mounting tabs off(bad welds) and then had to go and get it re-welded and go back by the place and pick up the right hardware. I know all about easy jobs

Actually

They are a BIG pain to get off without braking the tabs. Most of the time atleast one will make that nice pop noise we all love. It is Very common to have them go out. At work the easiest and cheapest way in the long run is to replace it. BUT, somewhere on this site is a link to fixing them and I would really like someone to post it cuz I have a friend that needs his fixed and hes a tight azz. So if you know where that link is put her up please.
