While I would assume the cluster would fit I do know that an 2002+ will NOT work with yours because they changed the gauges around and added an idiot light Trans Temp sensor.

I know they changed them. I had an 02 and liked the gauge configuration better. Just curious to know if they would work in a '00 without having to change the harness.

It is doable, I know someone who took gauges from a 2003 and put them in his 1999. BUT there was aLOT of work entailed and he was a ford techie... basically his truck was soooo far from stock I'm sure the only stock parts on the truck were the body panels !!!

It's not worth it if you just like it better.

2002 was when Ford switched over to a Digital O/D and they also added sound insulation in the cab.

The big problem

is with the newer ones you have to program them with our computers. There is some module configuration that needs to take place.
