Discovered that I could mount my Sirius Sat Radio using the vent clip and just click in onto the "hook". The power cord is now hidden inside the dash hooked to an Upfitter Switch so the plug is not there now.

I like more junk drawers!!
We got this ash tray out of either a '99 or a '00 XL Superduty. My truck is an early '99 so I already had it.

It was basically a matter of unscrewing the trashbag holder assembly and bolting in the ashtray. IIRC there was one screw hole that was drilled out, but was not a problem for us. We routed the DP wire from the computer to the back of the ashtray. The F5 chip was fastened to the left side of the ashtray and flush with the top.

With the ashtray opened, you the driver, can see what position you are in and can change at any time. When the ashtray is closed, there is no indication that a chip is installed anywhere. The only downside is if you have a mug of coffee or other beverage in the cupholder, switching positions is difficult, but you can still see what position you're in. This is a very cool mod!

seeing the pic of the dash reminds me of when i first bought my truck.. i saw the button with the "P" on it..being a man i wouldn't look in the manual to see what it was for.. instead i pushed it numerous times with no visible results.. i asked my son what he thought it was..he replied (with his warped sence of humor)what he thought the "P" was for... i told him NO! because i pushed it like 100 times and haven't got ANY yet
