It was basically a matter of unscrewing the trashbag holder assembly and bolting in the ashtray. IIRC there was one screw hole that was drilled out, but was not a problem for us. We routed the DP wire from the computer to the back of the ashtray. The F5 chip was fastened to the left side of the ashtray and flush with the top. With the ashtray opened, you the driver, can see what position you are in and can change at any time. When the ashtray is closed, there is no indication that a chip is installed anywhere. The only downside is if you have a mug of coffee or other beverage in the cupholder, switching positions is difficult, but you can still see what position you're in. This is a very cool mod! Chris |
