I need denim blue interior paint

I went to the local ford dealer with a p/n for fords denim blue interior paint and the guy looks it up for me. Says he can't order it but a dealer in Cali has it but they are not allowed to ship it. I asked the guy how it got to Cali, did they carry it there by hand since they can't ship it. That might not have been such a good idea cause he more or less refused to help me after that. So, now that the local ford parts guy hates me, does anyone know where I can get this stuff? I tried all the local parts houses too.

You'll have to find a specialty paint supply warehouse in your area. These places carry all sorts of different paints for vehicle interior, exterior, houses, boats, etc. If it's a really good place, they can find most domestic & foriegn automotive paint codes & actually mix the paint for you. Check it out.

I don't see colors too well so its nearly all the same to me. I got what I thought was a match but knew it wasn't when my wife looked at the finished job and started laughing. Maybe someday I will actually care enough to pull the pod off and repaint it but its not likely....looks the same to me. I appreciate the help tho, I think I tried every place in town here but I probably could have found a place in Dayton. This is a small town and just not much here.

Go to your local body shop and ask them where they get their paint from and who they would recommend to have some mixed for you. They will tell you where to go.

I've been thinking about doing the same thing with mine and losing the pillar gauges for a windshield mount while I am at it.

You should be able to order it from the dealer. The Ford part # for Denium is: M4JZ-19M547-4260H and for dark denium M4JZ-19M547-4261H. If they are unwilling to order you a can, try an auto paint store. They should be able to put some in a spray can for you.

I tried that. The Ford dealer told me what other dealer had it and then told me they would not ship it per Ford rules. A couple of smart comments later and now the local dealer all but refuses to help me with anything, I have to go to a different dealer for parts now. And they wonder why they are losing customers to Toyota and Honda, its not all cause of fuel costs!!!
