Looking for a radio

Hey all, I'm wanting to change out my stock radio. But my dilemma is how do I fill the gap if I use just a regular deck. The hole would support two of them as you know.

Any one have any pics or suggestions?

I could go with the touchscreen ones but they're just a touch pricey.....

Also, any suggestions as to which one to buy. Brand, series, etc.....

A decent double-DIN in that range, FH-X700BT - 2-DIN CD Receiver with MIXTRAX™, Bluetooth®, USB Control for iPod®/iPhone®, and Pandora® Ready | Pioneer Electronics USA

So, that 2dinn Pioneer, the computer at best buy says that it requires cutting the dash for an install in my truck..... That's a no-can-do for me!!

So, there was a very helpful tech that showed me a single dinn with the exact same options that was $30 less and a dash kit which adds a small pocket underneath the radio to fill in the gap. I really like that idea.

Any experience with them? Are they good? like strong and sturdy? All that will go in there most likely is a pen or two and my blackberry when its on charge but still. I don't want it if its junkie.....

My truck came with a 1DIN Jensen slide out touch screen thing. It has the little pocket beneath it. The pocket is only useful for losing stuff it. Too small for your fingers, and just deep enough to swallow things. I'd just as soon have a flat plate covering the gap.

This is the pocket install kit. Not a fan.

That's the stereo I have. I didn't suggest it to you because I'm unsure about sound quality. It's not that great in mine, but it could easily be the speakers (cheap somethings that came with it as well). I don't know, I just know sound quality isn't impressive.

If you can get a kit without that little pocket, I think you would like it a little more. Just one man's opinion of course.

I see what you mean..... That looks pretty much useless.... A flat panel painted match the dash would look best....

Yeah, I've seen that Jenson. I'd like one that has a nav unit and all in it but budget says NO
