Spray wd-40 into door latches and open/close them a few times. Mine did the same and it fixed it. I haven't had a problem since then. It has been over a year

I'm not sure on that, never had to do it. I had to open and close doors quite a few times

I got the same problem, door ajar light is on, using the odometer diagnostic thingy, I found its the passenger door that's the problem. When I changed the power lock actuators, I cut the wires goin to the ajar sensor and spliced them together closing the loop and effectively telling the GEM that the door is closed all the time.... but it didn't work,

So I'm lost, like the OP all the bulbs were taken out by the previous owner, I have no idea what to do now, any suggestions??

Are you sure it's looking for a short and not an open? I haven't looked at the schematics, but it's possible the switch is "open" when the door is closed.

I remember someone sayin on this or another forum that the switches are closed when the doors are closed. But I remember checking when I had the switch out and before I spliced the wires, and nothing changed.

Someone told me that the ajar sensors are linked somehow to the headlight switch, idk if that's right or not, but maybe someone with some electrical knowledge on vehicles could help us out??
